here are the rules, we have the link to the toll both of the Nurburgring.
our goal is to spot the best group of cars caught on cam or the best car ever...
let the games begin.

*No cheating ! which means not stealing from other sites its not like we're in a race (the people on the pix are)
*No pix from previous dates

so far i cought a 996 GT3, S2 Elise, 996 Cab, Cayman S and old Porsches, BMW E46 M3 CSL and some moded crap.

You can see the Ring Taxi in the first one, the second is all minis, and the 3rd looks like there's a Porsche club trackday or something. Lots of 944s.

I think this E30 M3 is the same one spotted by someone whilst hanging round the 'Ring for the day. It has an in-line six BiTurbo motor fitted.

I think you're missing out on the real fun of it by pointing out the expensive sporty cars that, in all fairness, you'd expect to see visiting the 'ring.
I personally derived far more entertainment from the fact that an Opel Meriva, Ford Fiesta (not an ST), a VW Polo (not a GTi) and a VW Touareg (!!!) were all lurking on the 'ring at some point!

There's some cool stuff in this pic, Cayman, GT3, Weismann, C6 and a totally killer bus!
I actually have that page bookmarked for a while...
I saw a 997 Turbo yesterday, unfortunately I still hadn't seen this post. VtecMini is kinda right too, you end up seeing lots of Porsches and such that what catches your eye are other "lesser" cars! :P

Around end of October the winter brake will take place and we won't see nice cars (we won't see any cars than some cars of the Nürburgring company) until good weather in next spring. Around March or April they will re-open again.

so when they say 1:xx:xx its 6:xx:xx
which means that if im not mistaken then the record belongs to a Radical SR3 with a time of 6:20 something seconds... with an averege speed of 200 km/h

I don't think they close for winter. On their website there are opening hours specified till the end of December at least.

They will close the track immediately if there is any snow around, because it is dangerous without snow, but much more dangerous with snow and no insurance company would ever pay for accidents at a snowy Nordschleife (there aren't many which will even pay for accidents at a dry warm Nordschleife...)
Those pictures of different cars on a snowy or icy Nordschleife are photo drives only and not possible for tourist drivers.

The Nordschleife is alive again. I dropped in on the action there today and spotted a F430, F430 Spider, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Carrera GT, Jaguar XKR(new one) + the usual sea of M5s, Porsche Turbo's/GT3s, M Coupe's, Evo's, etc.
And did i mention the weather was superb?

The virus(also called ring-virus/nordschleife-virus) is an addiction which one contracts when you drive the Nordschleife for the first time, it's quite harmless, but makes you want to go back to the Ring again and again and again :P

I think the one I'm looking at now is updated every minute.

1. You do NOT race. Race and ban.
2. Racing license isn't required, if it was, there would be a lot less accidents.
3. I checked, it's about 24-25 USD per lap.

German car-rent agencies don't allow you to go around the ring in their cars and have some agents round it who call them if they see any of their cars going round. And rent-cars in Germany are easily to recognize, because the rent-companies license all their cars in the same city.
So you might go to the Ring, but better not on it ;)

It's unlimited- it's an autobahn, technically just a toll road in Germany. I think there is a speed limit on the stretch where cars enter, but that's about it.

Well i myself havent seen them, a mate has but hes not really into cars.
The Autostore is a place where people with performance cars store thier pride and joys - they get driven around to make sure they run well VERY regularly (the employies even take them home lol. But its kinda wierd seeing such rare cars come through a TINY village. My mate (the same one) got a ride in a Marcos LM400...not bad!

It's very hard to say exactly what it could be, with the amount of cars that attend the 'ring there's undoubtedly some one-off sports cars, or other cars with bodykits. Unless there were some closer shot, I daresay you're not gonna positively identify it.
