'58 Cadillac Series 62 DeVille Convertible, triple black with red trim on the interior, a lightly massaged motor, and overdrive. Has typical 50's flamboyant looks while retaining a certain mysterious restraint that the '59's lacked. Has all the creature comforts you expect even by today's standards, but without pesky fuel injection. And, it's about as good a road car/boulevard cruiser as you're ever likely to find.

There's just something about it. Make mine a red spyder, black top, tan interior, 6 speed. Throw on the Challenge rear grill, a Tubi exhaust, and a set of some 18x9 and 19x11 BBS LM's.

What Quiggs wants except I'll take a berlinetta. and a set of Yokohama Advan tires.
Or a Nissan Skyline GT-R. not the R34, but the classic KPGC10

Currently I am in love with the FIAT Panda 100hp, just tried it and it really offers so much fun for very little cash. Great little car. I wouldn't mind owning a Ferrari 360 CS if I had the money.... ;o)
Oh, just thought of the upcomming Alfa Romeo 8C, if it's half as good to drive as it looks I probobly would give an arm and a leg for one of those, not my arm and leg of course;o)

NSXType-R
11-06-2006, 02:35 PM
In my dream world it would be the NSX Type R. It's a quick track car that's probably more reliable than many supercars. In the real world, I'd probably have to settle for a Nissan 350 Z. It's plenty fast and still liveable. It's relatively cheap too.

Aaahhh....of all time....hard, but I think I will go with....something no one will expect of me - the Honda NSX (modified to around 350-400 horsepower). Luxurious interior, fast, impeccable handling...plus it isn't overly hard to drive on the street (even with 400hp, it'd probably be pretty tame, at worst you'd have to tone down the throttle response a little ), and is not like some cars of it's caliber, that need $50,000 maintenance fees every other week, or need to be shipped back to the factory.

As more of an "ultimate car", I'd rather have a Mclaren F1 or a Zonda F :p

Picking just one is hard, as others here have said. If I could only have one car, I guess I would pick:
1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, triple black or triple dark blue (photo below).

Runners-up would be:
- 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T, 440-Magnum, 3.55 gears, auto trans.
- 1969 or 1975-'76 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five Limousine, triple black or triple dark blue.

Aston Martin DB9, classically beautiful.... ooh but there's the Jaguar XK8. And the Merc S63 AMG with all the technology. Oh the McMerc SLR. And the Rolls Royce Phantom with its pure Britishness and class and luxury. And oh no, the Veyron. The speed, the raw power! Crap! Its harder to decide than i thought. But i'll have to flip a coin between the DB9 and SLR. Yup, DB9.

The new BMW 5 Series Sedan is the next stage in the evolution of a successful concept:more driving pleasure, less fuel consumption.

You could argue that about most cars. The new 3-Series deals with more pleasure and less fuel consumption than a 5-Series. In fact, a BMW 330Cd Coupé not only looks lovely, but also drives better and gets amazing fuel consumption.

VE Calais V6.
It was a car that seem too suit me, I fit well into it, I was very comfortable, I felt very safe in it, It had most of the gadgets i love in it, I have always been comfortable in Commodores but this was something new it felt perfect too me.
Then you look at the car and it's very nice, It's got plenty of potential for mods and go fast bits. The car makes me look good:D.
That and every person on the road or street would almost walk into a wall or drive off the road looking and saying that's the new VE. Got a big head:), Then it turned into yeah yeah yes it is now **** off!.

A good choice:). I would be happy if it were my only Porsche. There's no use for high power anything around here, other than to brag. We do have plenty of windy roads though, which would more than justify getting a boxster.

Just one car? Impossible. My first classic that I liked was a '70 Chevelle SS 454 LS/6, and the first Cadillac I liked was a '63 Series 62 Convertible, so you could probably chalk those up. In all actuality, though, it's really hard to pick just one. '58-62 Chevy, '54-'58 Oldsmobiles, any postwar Buick, Hudson Hornet...the list is so long and the one that heads it is different every day...

I like Aston Martin's myself, pretty much any except the Lagonda. Aston Martin's are sportcars, but also generaly sports coupes, and have a very masculine, 5 o'clock shadow quality, like thy're refined (the modern ones anyway) but also rough around the edges a little.
