MAYBACH Typ W5 SG 27/120 HP (Closed Body) (1928 - 1929)
The W3 was updated for 1926 with the release of the newer W5 platform fitted with a revamped engine rated at 120 hp. almost twice as much as the previous engine's power output. Although styling was carried over form the previous model, this car was used as a wheeled-escort, having been fitted with a rear seat mount that allowed extra seating for two more. Interestingly, these seats were found outside the car and had a higher placement than the others which allowed the occupants (mostly officers) to scout for nearby threats.
