My new camera

Look out UCP, I'm now equipped with a digital camera! :) The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 was a birthday present from my parents. I've been experimenting with it off and on for the past week. Check out some of the results:

1. The view from the beach house we rented Thanksgiving week (my birthday was the Sunday after Thanksgiving).
2. The first car photographed with my new camera.
3. A derelict oceanfront beach house.
4. Back in Charlottesville, the Rotunda and the Lawn at the University of Virginia (I'm still working on holding the camera steady and straight :o).
5. Some gargoyle on Brooks Hall.

I see these two Audis all the time; the first is a TT that apparently belongs to Dean Van Lengen (I don't know what he or she is dean of) (it's always struck me as being very photogenic in the right light, typically earlier in the day then when these photos were taken) and the second is an Audi S4 25Quattro (1 of only 250 produced).

Is it just me or are the pictures sort of soft?
