Probably more than I should have, but when I saw the windscreen wipers in action, I couldn't resist getting it. Actually you are the ones that bought it for me by visiting the site !! Thanks!!

May I ask what year this motoring pioneer is from?

On another note, awesome car! Something awesome to do would be fitting a Turbo to it so you could go smoke some ricers in a mini, and you could put like a grey wig on so you look like a granny so that will shame the ricers out!

MG Metro Turbo drops straight in with a wee hole cut in the bulkhead and replated :)
Unfortunately, it's mainly good for smoking tyres !!!!

Seriously nice, Wout. My Uncle is actually working on a very similar car. British racing green, forgotten-in-an-old-barn type :)

Hope you have fun with this one. :) You should put your name over the shifter, just for fun ;)

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately this is not my car, got all of you guys fooled!!!

Hehe, just kidding. It's a 1991 and rust hasn't found its way to the essential bits and pieces yet. It'll need some work, but I do plan to get it in tip-top condition.

I might get Egg Nog his P of O today.

I've ordered 15 Pioneer 15 inch subwoofers for your mini, a couple of X-Plod amps, and a 3000 dollar DVD Headunit. And how could I froget the the 6 Rockford Fosgate speakers, top of the range. It'll fit with much room to spare! Top of the range ICE install for a top of the range car.

I also got some vinyl, 4 6 inch exhausts, a carbon fibre hood, a aeroplane spoiler, and stole some chicken wire from old mcdonalds farm.

You know the red text adds? For example: Ferrari. Everytime you click on one of those the company who the add leads too gives UltimateCarPage 100th of a cent. I think it's much nicer then having annoying pop-ups. :)

Nice car wouter, Make sure your front suspension bushings are ok before you drive it hard, I saw a guy at a race do a nose dive in his mini cause the bushings came off and the shock arm disconnected (something like that). Thats only if you have the stock lever shocks. I'm about to make a attachment for a turbo for one of my midget's 1275, I just hope the gaskets will hold up.

Don't worry, Wouter/Henk, the Mini never had lever shocks.
The front has only been one of 2 setups. One with cones and rubber bushes and the 'wet' hydrolastci system.
I think johnnynumfiv may be describing a cone collapse displacement. The latter is quite common if the car is lowerd by shortening the cones. Taking a rise or bad pot-hole, the wheel can drop and the cone come out :) Not going to happen on a stock car !!

Sorry mate, I'm used to my midget suspension, I always thought since the cars had the same suspension systems, since they were made B.L.. It wasn't a cone coming out, It was the bushing for the shocks, I think the set up is, two clamps holding the bushing in. I guess either one or both came out. I'll post some pictures of the MG midget's system in a bit in the users ride thread.

Anyway thanks for reassuring, but could you judge from the pics whether the car was a bit too low in the front part? They were never supposed to be horizontal, but I am a bit suspicious. The absolute lack of any capacity to take speed bumps faster than a pedestrian indicates that there is really no suspension to speak of. (My Citroen's hydropneumatic suspension is the absolute king of the speed bump, so I might be making a very unfavourable comparison here)
