There's a differecne between good and cool. Subaru Imprezas are good cars but not cool. The Fiat Multipla might look ugly but it's very cool indeed.

Nissan has started to do this with their CVT's... they have 6 programmed gear ratios which, when placed in a "manumatic mode" will allow you to shift gears like in every other mannabe sports car. I SERIOUSLY doubt that Subaru will adopt this technology, especially in a high performance capacity.

Very good question indeed. It's said because of the safety regulations. But can't designer really think of good solutions? There are examples out there that it can be done.

I dont view it a bad thing most people who buy these cars end of modifying them eventually.....This will just make sure it happens sooner rather then later i guess lol.
