WHY the Trabant has an S in it's logo I haven't a clue !!!!

Dang! Trabant! That was going to be my next guess! What's the German word for cardboard, maybe that starts with S. (After all that's what the Trabant was made of.)
I thought I had it with Skoda. Oh well, being an American the only reason I've ever even heard of Skoda is from the limited WRC coverage we have.

BTW, to balance the view of the trabi it was actually made from compressed plastic with cotton fibres. Still totally UNrecyclable :(
The steel chassis WAS galvanized !!
