OETTINGER Audi A4 (B7) - The new Programme! November 2006

These days, in the 60th year of its existence, OETTINGER presents its new program for the current Audi A4 B7 - fresh from the test stand. To give the A4 pilots the possibility of unmistakeably making clear what is hidden behind the four rings on their grills, the specialists from Friedrichsdorf are now also offering a body-kit for the B7. In doing so they not only keep their eyes on the design, as usual, but also face the technical challenges of modern motor construction and -tuning. The catchwords in this context are the Naca-aspiration tube, sufficient space for an additional cooling unit in case of large-scale motor remodelling, and ventilation for the engine compartment.

The brand-new body kit contains the front grill and front apron, lateral sillboards, and a rear apron offering sufficient space for two or, alternatively, four exhaust pipes with diameters up to 80 mm. All parts are manufactured from high-quality RIM and in OEM quality.

OETTINGER offers the following power enhancement for one of the most popular motorisation systems: For the A4 (8E B7) with its 3.0 turbo-Diesel motor (of basic 204 HP) the Audi pilot may in the future enjoy a higher speed level and over 260 HP/191 kW. The torque released by this process will transform the favoured long-haul motorisation into a sportive propellent for pilots who dislike changing gears. The A4 derives between 1,800 and 3,800 rpm from an impressive 515 Nm torque, which will provide for sports-car elasticity on the motorway.

The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is accommodated by the A4's well over 1.6 tons within a sportive 6.8 seconds, upon which the powerful and even headway will only start at a speed of 246 km/h.

This type of tuning is available by means of the brand-new DPT (direct-port technology, meaning tuning without removing the control equipment, available worldwide and on the spot at any time). This technology also permits programming by means of the revolutionary MAPSWITCHING method: performance that may be added or reduced at selectable stages, an anti-theft device within the steering system, and - in addition - automatic cruise control (Tempomat), which may be retrofitted without any problem.

All these accomplishments are now available also for drivers of new cars without risk: 60 years of invariable quality is a sufficient basis for the VVO Service (Volkswagen Insurance Service) to provide full .reinsurance for OETTINGER-tuned vehicles even within the period of ex-works guarantee. This is unique for this line of business, and the market has been waiting a long time for it.
