This Lexus concept car that was designed for the movie Minority Report, which starred Tom Crusie and was directed by Steven Spielberg, an avid fan of the Lexus brand. The inspiration behind the car was a vehicle that would fit the requirements of the year 2054, but beneath the futuristic design is a standard Chevy V6 and conventional manual gearbox.

The auction begins at $88,000 but the price is likely to reach a high-point of $125,000 when it closes in a couple of weeks. This concept is one of just three models that were created for the movie, one being owned by Lexus and another by a studio big-shot. This one’s got only 38 miles on the clock and the seller is even willing to fix up the interior for you.

That's cool. How much power does it have though? There's no point if it doesn't have any performance to it. Still real cool though.

You don't buy it for the performance. It has a standard Chevy V6.

It's a collector's item, to be stored in a garage as an investment. That's why it has only 38 miles on the clock!

It's ugly. And I didn't seen anything like this in "The Island."
That movie's most futuristic car was the Cien, and the rest were majorly all GM models.

Eww. Not what I would want, but to each his own. I thought it would have the power to back up the styling. I'm disappointed.

What is interesting is that despite Spielberg being a Lexus fan it's powered by a Chevrolet engine...

Yeah, that's true. It should be a supercharged V-8 from Toyota. :D

This hideous black thing wasn't from what I can recall. The red one was.

And according to the paper, it was.

EDIT*
The item is no longer on Ebay. But I highly doubt this car is worth $88,000.
Why? Because the Movie Certificate is BS.

It states on that paper that the car was featured in the movie, Minority Report, and The Island which is false information because it wasn't in The Island.
