The Clipsal 500 Adelaide is round one of the V8 Supercar Championship Series in Australia. The Clipsal 500 is Australia’s largest domestic motor sport event. The population of Adelaide is just over 1 million people ( that's some information for UCP members who have never heard of Adelaide or V8 supercar racing).
V8 Supercar pictures (Obviously, picture 3 is Porsche and not a V8 supercar and I don't know what to say about picture 6 :D)

Revolution, I only took one picture of the Gransport. I've seen 2 Quattroporte's and 2 or 3 3200 GT's driving along various Adelaide streets but this is the first Gransport I have seen. Obviously, it is a beautiful car. The Ferrari 360 Modena isn't too bad either. :D

The army land rover was at Summernats - they attempted to enter the burnout comp (the back 4 wheels are driving :O) however something went bang very quickly into proceedings.
it's a cool vehicle, but it says nothing about the army's engineering capabilities :p

Were the Thunder Sports (WEST Race Cars) Running?
I used to work for WEST, I don't recognize the two cars pictured but I may have hand in building them :D

johnnyperl, I didn't actually see them racing. I was sick on Thursday so I only attended the last three days of the Adelaide Clipsal 500. I missed Thursday's racing and V8 supercar practice. I'll try to find out if the West Race Cars did race during the 4 days of the Clipsal 500.
