My first poll...

Alright, you have just been presented by a dealer the option of picking one pair of production performance cars for free, which pair do you choose and why?

Audi RS4 and Mercedes CL63 AMG

Hmmm, interesting. They're rather odd pairings. I'd love to have the R8 and a CLS63, but if I can't have that it'll have to be the RS4 and CLS.

i'd prefer the RS4 with a GT3RS, but i guess the R8 and M5 combo will have to do :D

Ill take the R8 M5 combo, then sell the M5 and buy an S6(or RS6).

The R8 for fun, the M5 for my pal.

The pair that doesn't have and ugly, complicated BMW in it.

Snap.

The first one managed to do me fine :)

First one I suppose was the best, but B was tempting as hell.

Can't we mix and match? I'd have the R8 and the RS4, if that was the case.

cheating.... :D

Pair A is easily the most sensible amongst.
Pair B would have easily won (Provided if there's a Pair D)
Pair C is as tempting as dating doctors/accountants or screwing women astronauts.

Pair D (Corolla + Enzo)

Out of topic : Can i see who voted for C ? :D

If we can mix, can we choose the cars we want in our pair...?

My ultimate pair:

RS6 Plus + R8
RS4 B5 + 8C

Exactly. I want that R8 so bad but I could never live with that M5. RS4 and CL will do. I saw my first new CL the other day, it was behind me for a while. Doesn't look too bad on the road, I wasn't overly impressed when I saw the first shots.

Definitely the Audi RS4 and the CL 63. All the others are ok, but this pair really strikes my fancy. The regular CL's look kinda boring, but the look of the 63 really brings out the best in it.

That's because they are part of VAG isn't it?

I voted B, only because I always wanted a M5.

I don't know, the M5 doesn't seem to cut it for me. It looks too complicated. The manual version looks more enticing however, but I would still go for the RS6, when it comes out of course. :p

What's enticing? I believe that word could be replaced by either of these

The RS4 and CL63 AMG is too boring

The RS4 and CL63 AMG is too exciting

The RS4 and CL63 AMG is too good

The RS4 and CL63 AMG is too bad

Despite having the option of a manual it still has too many buttons and settings...

but I could never live with that M5.

You're lying. What are you driving? :)

That doesn't make any sense. It's 'any', by the way- 'either' is used for 2 options... ;)

It's slightly less complicated because now you don't have a choice in which program to use for the speed of the shifts.

On a side note, I hope the M3 isn't plagued with the same problems as the M5. They got the styling right in my opinion, just don't mess with the rest of it. It's too important to mess with.

I thought that got wrecked?

Vaigra
03-10-2007, 04:50 PM
It got a knock and is currently off the road but easily repaired. But I'm at uni atm and my dad's busy with other stuff so there's nobody to get it sorted right now.
Should be sorted for the Summr when I've got some time.

I was upset, give me some credit :(
Some woman hit the side, pulled out with indicating. I hate people who don't indicate with a passion.
I haven't had a chance to take a proper look at the car under the body panels but the old man says it's fine and it should be back on the road when either of us get somet time to work on it.

Whatever gets me the R8 :D

Seconded.

I've got a thing for the M5 and the M6, but the R8 is just pure sex over the rest, so I've gotta go with whatever BMW it comes with.

BTW, I like this. Should definately come up with another "Pinata" next week. :)

RS4/CL 63. simply because there is not an ugly car in the grouping.

the others suffer the wrath of the bangle.

In that case, you're forgiven.... :)

Well, it's just to make sure you're not driving something close to M5's market price. :)

Just pop down the scrappy or breaker's yard, see if they have any S2s with nice bodywork... could also get yourself a spare engine! :D

And I agree. Not indicating sucks so much... if I see someone on a roundabout not indicating, I'll move out slightly to scare them. It's worked well so far. Not.

An S2 at a scrappers? You'd be lucky. We changed the engine on the V6 but that's a more common engine in the late 90's Audi's so that was easier.
