my olds car died last night & they think it is the gearbox as it acts like it is in N.

i think it is a belt that drives the gearbox from the engine as P still works

This should be in Australian cars section.

However it isn't prohibited from this section, as we are talking Mitsubishi. Being in the Australian section would be of great benefit though.

Mitsubishi Australia
Mitsubishi Global

There are many more regional branches of Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi Australia has its own lineup, engineering and local manufacturing base.

There's also Mitsubishi USA - they design/manufacturer cars in a similar way, but on a larger scale, to the Australian subsidiary.

As for the Magna. First I assume its an auto? Also, which model (year is good enough). The earlier 1985-90 model cars chewed through auto gearboxes very quickly. In each subsequent model the gearbox has improved, but is still something of a weak link.
