A game called movie quotes, the rules are as followed:
One person picks a famous movie quote (it has to be relatively well known) and another person has to guess it, first person who gets it right gets to pick the next movie quote. I'll start us off:

We ride together, We die together...

No, sorry, that was my fault. However, I can clear this all up :)

"Never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line!" if from The Princess Bride

"You want the truth. You can't handle the truth!" is from A Few Good Men

Now, onto my quote:

"I had to take off my pants to run faster out of the flames!" ;)

Okay, sorry... nobody seems to be guessing mine...

"I had to take off my pants to run faster out of the flames" was from Orange County, said by Jack Black, as the drugged-out loser brother, Lance. Hilarious movie at times.

An easier one: "Shmoke and a pancake?"

That's the way it's gotta work, or else it gets all discombombulated with people throwing quotes in at random.

So this is the last quote that didn't receive an answer:

Groundhog Day

and your quote wasn't exactly correct. it should be:
"Come on, all the long distance lines are down? What about satellite? Is it snowing in space? Don't you keep open a line for emergencies or for celebrities? I'm both. I'm a celebrity in an emergency."

Not entirely sure of the Kevin Smith film but it's definitely Jay and Silent Bob in the blanks. I'll guess "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back", the bit in the fast food store introducing themselves to Boo-Boo-Kitty-F***.

Assuming I'm right (how cocky am I!) here's my one, quite a long one I must warn you:

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borges they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed but they produced Michaelangelo, Leonarda Da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love; they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo-clock! So long."

The Third Man.

Ok, now for the winner:

"Why are your hands trembling?"
"At... at the pleasure of finding the ribbon."
"You're a lier."

<AAA-MOD>

MrBill, those three are all from the same movie?

they seem kinda vague. any hints?

mr bill
05-07-2004, 09:28 AM
From the same movie, spoken by a young man and women... the women speaking the first line, man the second, and women again the third. After speaking that line there's a kiss... as "women of Ireland" plays in the background.

And, another line from same movie:

"I have come to demand... satisfaction"

mr bill
05-07-2004, 09:33 PM
And another:

"It was in the reign of George III
that the above-named personages
lived and quarreled; good or bad,
handsome or ugly, rich or poor, they
are all equal now."

And one more:

"About this time, the United Kingdom
was in a state of great excitement
from the threat generally credited
of a French invasion. The noblemen
and people of condition in that and
all other parts of the kingdom
showed their loyalty by raising
regiments of horse and foot to
resist the invaders."

full quote is: "Lotta people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well. When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."
