Yea i noticed that too. I have no idea why actually. The screensht was taken just after the saving. I couldn't figure out what it could be, but i thought to myself it must have been the angle of my laptop-screen. Nothing intentional here anyway.. I have nothing to hide. The 0.1 was just something I overlooked.:o:o:o

I'll have a look at the .psd file and the original RAW edit in .dng format to look what went wrng where. I can send them too if you like... But first some homework.

a piece of glass you put on the end of a lens to get different effects, usually colored or polarizer, but then there are ones that give different light streaks, like a star burst pattern etc

I agree to that. The term Automotive includes many things, including trucks. For example we learn just as much about trucks/lorries as we do about cars on Automotive Engineering...

Apart from cars, trucks are in my field of interest too. If possible I go to meetings and stuff with my neighbour. I have no idea why they should be banned...

Anyway. I tried to save my own picture a few other times and see where what went wrong. Because my entire laptop is doing weird things I think that might have something to do with it. Maybe also some compatability issues between the CS3 Lightroom version .psd's and the CS2 version's might have to do with it... Because of this, I feel it is best to retreat from this competition. I will delete my post with the entry. I hope i'll be back next week...

Sooooo.... I guess my entry wont be in the voting thread then? That's pretty f**ked up... You may find me a complainer or something, but I honestly think that trucks should be allowed in the automotive comps, they are practically the same...

But you guys tell me, shall I remove it or not? (Any decision is cool with me, I respect the rules but hope an exception can be made)

Where do you draw the line? Can I enter a photo of a Toyota pick up truck?

zeppelin
05-18-2007, 12:09 PM
By definition an automobile is a (typically) 4-wheeled vehicle designed to carry 1-8 people primarily on roads. By definition pickups and SUVs fit this description, so your Toyota pickup (and other vehicles like it) should be acceptable.

So a Kamaz 4911 is a car, but a similar truck of similar size but with 6 wheels is not?

I'm confused by all this.

I don't mean to pick on Sledgehammer, but if jorismo can not post an entry of a truck, why can Sledgehammer? Unless that happens to be a car quite a bit off the ground.
