Moon and Venus

The hot planet Venus and our Moon have been lining up in our sky for a few days now. I took this pic after they were side by side, but you still get the idea. btw, this is a rare event.:cool: They are going to come close again tonight for those of us in the north

I noticed that yesterday and was guessing that might be a planet but I really had no idea.

btw must be nice to have such a pure sight at night! i see only buildings and the city light reflects on the clouds.

Yeah!.. The home of the stars and stripes you would expect plenty.. But the camera must not pick it up?.
Near summer xmas time i always pot this one star that is brighter then all it's not white it's more cream like it only comes for a short time it might be a planet??.

it was only 9 pm. And I live in a city of 1+ million...plus about 2 or 3 million aliens...yea thats right I said aliens:p

nah, it was just the camera not picking up the other stars mostly

Sounds like Venus to me. Most likely to be seen around dusk and dawn and appears significantly brighter than the stars.
