dear god. and here in mexico I´m thinking how can i import an Euro Type-R solely because of looks. (we get an Si coupe which isnt as bad looking as the Jap Type-R and that comes with an LSD)

I'm not surprised either, although I'm saddened that the hatch has gone soft. However, I wouldn't mind if it came over to the states (either version) because we never get them. :p

Nice car, that Jap one. The new British one is pointless. I was hoping to see maybe an extra 20bhp or so to offset the extra 68kg, but obviously not... plastic surgery wouldn't go amiss, either.

Now you know how us Americans felt when we got the 2002 Civic Si and you guys got the ba-dass Civic Type R of last generation.

Point taken. I'm just glad that we have other hot hatch heroes, such as the Vauxhall Astra VXR and Ford Focus ST.

That's very true as well. As far as hot hatches go, I think we are getting the Saturn Astra Red Line and we also have the VW GTI (and R32) and I think that's pretty much it for the entire segment over here.

I'm honestly surprised that we even have that much over here considering how many people dislike hatchbacks in America. I always wanted to move over to Europe since I seem to be one of the only Americans who appreciate hatchbacks.

i think the Jdm ctr looks better but to me its the same car just with a different body. although hatches are known to perform a little better because of its lighter and smaller body. however in the states, we only get a 4-door and coupe si version of the civic. very neat, the only thing is the si isn't much of a track-ready car as much as the ctr's elsewhere is. also in canada, they get the jdm civic just a luxury version called the acura csx type s i think. i'd rock a civic and do the front and rear conversion. pure hottness...
