not this alfa but i have had experiences in a 2 litre supercharged 146 and my god what an experience it was. you have the sudden wave of power suddenly flying in above 3000rpm and you are bloody pinned back to your bloody seat.

Are you sure that it wasn't turbocharged?

The most powerful engine installed in the 146 was the 2 litre twin spark unit. It was good for 150 bhp.
Alfa's only forced induction engines of the late 1990s were a 2 litre V6 TURBO engine, which powered the Spider and GTV and the 164 and the 2 litre four cylinder engine which powered the 155.

illegally modified, seeing that you are from singapore and so am i, i don't think the police have very good views on illegally modifying cars and he would have been exopsed when he brought his car for the compulsory car checks conducted by the goverment

he bought it as a stock 146 2 litre twin spark then modified it - he did not buy it after modifications - and yes its not compulsory for you to check your car with the government - its unless you wanna check if there are problems - the government does everthing at the start before the car goes into the showroom or dealership and yeah if you don't speed the police won't care - its as simple as that

If you get the opportunity buy a sound GTV6 . My daily car is a TT 3.2 but i prefer the way my 1983 Alfa drives. It really does have soul and the sound of that lovely V6 burbling away cannot be beaten this side of £40k.
Am currently having a twin turbo Alfa Callaway 3L engine built which will produce around 300 bhp and 0 - 60 in under 6 seconds ... should be entertaining !!!!
