yes same engine as the gallardo but the gallardo is detuned to 500hp. and no it does not look like the veyron - it maybe fat like it but it does not look like it a all and if it looks like it - its the bst thing that can ever happen to a car - ok not really

I like how they put the buttons and control panel horizontal instead of vertical. It gives the feel of a plane.

this is not gallardos competetor - this is in the murcielago and 575M sector - currently the only rival of the gallardo is rge 360 modena but there is going to be a 420 bologna coming soon so it still remians to be seen
