It's just about that time of the year again. Not sure if I'm going to implement the same awards as last year, or if there will be added/removed categories.

Discuss, and lets make this a good time.

Don't flatter yourself. The best posts were obvious dealing some snide remark, significant sexual remarks, and someones mom.

Rockefella

As of right now, I'm thinking of removing 'Member most likely to end up in jail' and possibly even the 'Best Chopper' award, considering chopping has slowed down a lot on this forum.

I've also thought about adding categories such as 'Most Influential Member' and 'Member that is Missed Most' (Members that used to post here but have gone on permanent? hiatus).

Let's see what a group of car nuts think it is (without actually driving it!).

Good idea. Only issue is that everyone's favorite car this year can be very varied. It will be a controversial topic for sure.

Entirely comprehensible. I am not sure what "Only song that can go to me me." exactly means. I guess you have to drown your sorrows after the game though.

But in fairness to a car of the year, Shouldn't we look outside the box more..

It shouldn't be the most outrages car or most expensive car or famous car big name badge etc..
How about all the old ones out there little names etc the ones that have been slaved over not just the ones that have been bought for $$$$$$$$.

Will the UCP Car of the Year award be restricted to new models launched or all cars on sale in 2007? I think it should be available for all cars on sale - we shouldn't restrict ourselves like car magazines often do.

It will be all cars on sale in 2007. Cars like the Ferrari Enzo which are sold out can not be chosen. If you'd guys like, we can make UCP.COTY split into best car for under $30k, 100k, and best supercar or something.

I'll probably get to work on all of the thread BS in a little while.

I sorta am digging leaving it open as well. I highly doubt any non-sportscar is going to win even if there are price limits anyways. IF we do have sepearate categories, there should be a final vote between all of those to determine what wins the overall car of the year. It is just much more professional.

Remember, we gotta set high standards with the awards this year so that they are followed every year and hell, maybe even Wouter can do a special update on the main page about UCP's Forums Car of the Year.
