I dont mean to be rude, so Im sorry if i come across as it -
Why so heavy on the HDR? its just a little full on is all. perhaps try to make it less "I WILL EAT YOUR CHILDREN"..

I think waughterfall has done a spectacular job of demonstrating why the "no editing" rule was not only fair, but also aided the mental stability of voters...

I never intended for editing to be allowed to this extent. While I do like HDR shots, and want them allowed, I think this is overboard.

Waugh-terfall: Here is a good tutorial site on creating high dynamic range images (Vanilla Days : HDR Tutorial: How to create ‘High Dynamic Range’ images using Photomatix (http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/)) I recommend it, and this site (High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography in Photoshop CS2 (http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/high-dynamic-range.htm)). The primary idea is to recreate the scene as viewed by your eye, and to achieve proper exposure from highlights to shadows.

I've just been experiementing with HDR over the last week. I quite liked the effect on this one, therefore I thought I'd enter it. Thanks for the links Zeppelin.

You're welcome. It can be a tough technique to get the hang of, but I'm glad you're experimenting (that was my main reasoning for allowing editing). Hopefully those links can give you some good ideas.

Yeah sorry, I forgot to update that when the run-off ended.

That would be cool, except it's a lot easier for voters to view them full size as inline posts. I think people will be less inclined to click through to enlarge each one. Any thoughts?
