Scottsdale/Phoenix Auctions 2008 (56k warning)

This year I was able to get press passes for the four major auctions that took place in the area during last weekend. Barrett-Jackson, Russ and Steel, RM Auctions and Gooding & Company. So, I made a temporary front page related to it on my site and took a hell of a lot of pics, many of which I have yet to edit/upload. So, here's what I have so far.

See the black camaro behind this lambo...thats would be mine. btw this lambo was retarded...it had cheap looking carbon fiber all over the place...and those rims were a joke.

and just wondering but did you happen to see this out in the parking lot...LP640

Damn, I don't think I got any pics of yours, sorry. :( I was all over the place and I didn't get pics of many, many cars. And yeah, I thought that Gallardo was pretty weak as well. Though, it did sound good (as Gallardo usually do). I didn't see that Murci and somewhat surprisingly, I've never seen it before. I saw quite a few nice cars (couple F-GTs, LP640 Roadster, Gallardos, Astons, etc) in the different lots but didn't take any pics.

yea the gallardo sounded great, but it was way overdone...and I couldnt get over how bad of a job they did with the carbon fiber...it was honda civic quality:p

Tamron 17-50mm f2.8
Canon 580EX (not all shots, obviously)
Tripod on some (obviously)

A few were taken with my Canon 50mm f1.4 and I think a very small number might have been taken with my Canon 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 (I know I put it on, but I don't know that I actually took any photos with it).

Well, for some of them I used my C-PL, but I'd say they're the minority. I edit all of my photos from RAWs and typically due a fair amount of editing after that. Most all have the contrast increased quite a lot and there's some other stuff I do regularly as well. Any way you could be a little more specific as to what "effect" you're talking about in particular?

well, the effect that interests me is the extreme sharpness and clarity of all the reflections while getting excellent contrast in the colors
