Roland Ratzenberger was killed 10 years ago.
I remember watching it on TV. I was absolutely shocked with the accident. Until that exact moment, I had never grasped how serious accidents in F1 could be. Not even Barrichello's accident on the day before struck me because, all in all, he only had a bruised arm and a broken nose. But then came Ratzemberger's crash. It was horrible. My father was watching TV with me and he immiediately said "that guy is not ok, he'll die". Even though I was thousands of miles apart and only witnessing it form the TV, I had the exact same feeling. He could be unconcious for all I knew, but I was sure he was dead.
