This thread will serve as the mothership for the branch out of nomination threads and ultimately award threads. Please keep general UCP Award discussion in this thread. Soon hyperlinks will be formatted into the categories above to allow quick travel to and between award/nomination threads. There will be no voting for one's self.

Good luck, and most of all, lets make this fun!

Not sure if I'm getting them anymore... I think my friend's dad took care of the food. I'll bring a tray of Buffalo wings over to his house anyway though. I gotta go deal his poker game in a few hours. From midnight til 8 in the morning. :o

We need to find somebody else to put next year's awards on. </self-promotion>

Damian's probably getting trashed somewhere as we speak. <3

Sorry, I'm rehabbing right now. Was drinking with a bunch of friends up in Hunter Mountain (NY) over the weekend and decided to snow tube down the side of the hill in the back of the house. Unluckily, I nailed a rock, went flying off the tube and wrecked my face into the hard packed snow/ice.

I was gonna ask that actually, but then I forgot.

Means a lot coming from the kindest of all.

I suggest we add a new category for next year's Awards: Slowest/Most Unreliable Member.

You are one of us now, be kind. To moderators that is, not to the plebs.

I did put a heart, and apparently it means a lot since it deserved its own thread...

That's just being selfish, you would win.

Ok, done.

I just did a boatload of HTML/editing/revising/tallying/thread building, so something's bound to be messed up somewhere. Cheers to faksta for pointing out a couple of errors, and I hope all is up to par now. If there are any typos, duplicates, etc. just notify me in a PM and I'll get to it as soon as possible. All polls have been set to close in 3 days.

I hope you all had fun with the awards this year. Vote away!

Do you guys want to redo the Car of the Year category?

I brought that up last week but nothing has really been finalized. Discuss.

I've said before, I think it should stand.

We need to post a winner's thread too.

Ferrer

I think it shouldn't. But are we going to agree ever?

Maybe we should have a poll on the rules first and then vote the COTY.

Like Ferrer said in the post above the one I made right here, I'll set up a poll for the rules.

Regarding the winner's threads, I'll get to that once I finish this week of exams.

I suggested that earlier.

Also, what about race car of the year and the rules for that?

I'd personally suggest the same, only cars released in 2007. Altough technically most teams a new "car/evolution" every year so that's kind of a grey area.

For race car, I think it should be any car that competed in a race series in the year 2007. This would not include one-off historics races or local trackdays. In short, this race would appear in an FIA style race calendar.

I agree with Rocke. Should we vote on that as well?

I always thought "<3" was a ballsack. I guess that shows where my mind is at...

Is '<3' a heart or a ballsack, because I think it should be a ballsack. I always thought it was a ballsack, and it seems to be used (ironically if it's a heart) as a ballsack.

There's 'Quail's two cents' worth.
