View Full Version : UCP Nominations (2007) - Napolis Award

Rockefella
02-01-2008, 05:35 PM
This one is coined after one of UCP's most.. prestigious members, Jim Glickenhaus, owner of the Ferrari P4/5. The Napolis Award will go out to the member with the best car purchase of the year.

Obviously, Napolis can not be voted for because he would wipe the floor with the other members; therefore, his nomination has automatically been retired and placed up in the banisters of UCP's coliseum, earning rights as an award in itself.

Meh, the painted ones are like $300 for a set, and my track width in the back is too narrow for them to look good.

Bought the KE25 in Dec 2006, another vote for the FD, love unmolested RX7s, they're very rare these days.

I would win spending most on a rebuild though:p

you bring up a good point regarding project cars - are they eligible for the year they are bought only, meaning some of them can be quite tatty *cough-mini-cough* - or will they be eligible on the year of their completion?

I also agree that parent's cars shouldn't be allowed, but there were a couple up already so I just added the Porker.

When they work they're also great fun to drive, although my model isn't particularly frugal, something I think that the 1 series would be a bit better at. My dad was looking at a 1 series before he decided on a 325i manual as his previous car. Size was the only thing that let it down.

EDIT: In fact I vote Ferrer for a fun diesel alternative. Clivey too if possible, although it's no BMW. :p
