Williams (F1-2008) FW30

The Williams F1 team yesterday revealed their definitive livery for their 2008 car - the FW30. Throughout testing the team has been using a series of special liveries commemorating the team's landmark 30th anniversary, which have proved popular with race fans. This final race livery is not quite so appealing, and inevitably has to bow to the commercial demands of the sport by being draped in sponsor's logos, most notably a number of companies owned by the Icelandic Baugur Group, who it is rumoured may have an interest in buying a hefty stake in Frank William's team. The car is still mostly in the deep, lustrous dark blue colour that Williams used throughout the winter which I really like, although I think the white is a little too prominent.

Still, it's definitely one of the better looking cars on the grid this year. Let's hope the car has the pace to match its good looks...
