To be honest, I'm not particularly fond of Irish culture, but I sure as hell love being an honorary Irishman on St. Patrick's Day. Probably my favorite day of the year.

Going to New York City in a couple of hours with 5 or 6 friends to see the parade then bar-hop. Things are about to get epic.

Grab a beer/whiskey, put on some green, and play some Dropkick Murphy's.

I'm Irish and I welcome any person to be an honorary Irish person on St. Patrick's day or on any other day. Afterall, we're all from the same human race regardless of nationality or skin colour. :)

To quote Kent Brockman, "Today everyone is a little bit Irish, except of course for the gays and Italians."

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone. Being both Irish and Scottish, I will enjoy this day, because for once I can celebrate the Irish side of me (alcoholism), whereas most other times it ends in yelling, hurt feelings and me ruining Christmas dinner.

Oh, and Rocke, I'll let your comments slide this time, just a tip though: watch the Boondock Saints. If it doesn't put a bit of Irish hell yeah spirit in you, then there's no hope.

Well i'll try to take your word for it...except as far as i can see it's the same brew...

Oh...and ours is 5% not 4.2%...

and then there's this

Contemporary Guinness Draught and Extra Stout are weaker than they were in the 19th century, when they had an original gravity of over 1.070. Foreign Extra Stout and Special Export Stout, with abv over 7%, are perhaps closest to the original in character.

Which means some Europeans get a more original brew....wtf.
