well, i spent this weekend with clubbimmer and e46fanatics breaking the record for the longest unbroken single make chain of cars (we broke it, over 270 cars!) and of course its raining like no other in atlanta. well while were down there, alex roy says hes gonna be staying at the intercontinental hotel the night before we break the record. so me and a friend bring our books and meet up with some other people at the bar there and hang out with him 1 on 1 on 1 on 1 on 1 at a large table for like 3 hours. hes such an awesome guy, a willy wonka character (crazy eccentric because he can be, and hilarious) and he even personally signed the book with a long note and signed a poster for me. we also go to go dick aroun in the car too, its awesome!
we didnt get to play around in the 144A that he broke the record with, but a newer 144B i think it was.
he also came to the carshow at 4ngiefest earlier today and i got to show him my car and all that stuff.

to sum it up, alex is a great, great guy who is really fun to hang out with, and amazingly personal. hes world famous and he still doesnt mind giving you his cell number and having a 1 on 1 drink with you (which he voluntarily pays for)
and if you thought bmw drivers were pricks before, we shut down the town because it took our line 30 mins to pass and we had a police escort=traffic cant move.

I could imagine that he's a cool guy. I saw him at the NY Auto Show. I didn't speak to him though. He was standing next to his BMW.

it was in atl at 4ngiefest and the clubbimmer parade, and roy is going to be starting his movie tour soon, this was one of his last "book tour" stops, he basically just shows up places when hes summoned. heres a photobucket album i made for the show, the images are resized and compressed so let me know if you need a full size:

no kidding, and he is full of hilarious stories.

he was telling us about some kid named caleb or something, who he had no idea how he knew. but the guy was like "Hey man, have you ever heard of bonzai racing?! its so underground dude" and roy of course is like "...no" and he says "ok well like, you get a bunch of dark colored lambos together, and you get night vision goggles, and you race around downtown atlanta at like 4 am". so of course, roys response "why would you need night vision goggles streetracing through a city with a billlion street lights?" and caleb responds with "BECAUSE WERE GOING SO FAST MAN!"
