Possible UFO sighting?

Was out taking pictures of the moon on my brothers balcony, got home, reviewed the pics and in one of them this cropped up...never saw it at all when i was taking the pictures.

I'm sure its not something on the lens cause there was no trace of whatever it is on any of my other pics I took that night.

Its in the top right corner of the pic for the not-so-eagle eyed among us...

It's definitely a bird. You wouldn't have seen it at all, because it's rather close to where you were shooting, and would've entered and left the scene within the time your picture was shot.

what's the rest of the sky like ? Clearly wisp of cloud across the moon.
So I woudl suggest that it was a cloud and is a typical "UFO sighting" example.
THe setting sun lights up the base of the smcall cloud and the SHADOW of the bottom part makes the top part look darker. So thus the "UFO shpae".
Don't panic you won't be invaded :) ( unless Bush gets told there's oil in NZ :D )

How come it wasn't in pics that I took about a minute or so later then?

I'm fairly sure its not a UFO as such now but it doesn't look much like a cloud to me.

ahh wait I just checked the pics I took after had camera on its side so would've cut off the area where this thing was.

They're called Lenticular Clouds and are commonly mistaken for UFOs :)

If you look on the pole in the bottom right of the photo you can see its cousin bird sitting on the dome of the pole, two tone, same colour match and everything :)
