It looks like Peugeot have finally come up with a replacement to the old 406; due out in the UK on the 25th of May is the new 407. They have said that their aim was to make it looks as little like a passat as possible ( step forward Mondeo and Vectra ) and you cant accuse the 407 of looking like that. Its one of the first cars in europe to meet the 2005 pedestrian protection rules, which i am guessing means that if you get hit by one the nose doesnt hurt you as much?? . Its platform is based on the Citroen C5 ( also made by peugeot ) which gives it a huge boot. Its alot more attractive than the 406 and will prove a benchmark for the new Passats and Mondeos, and so is the new Peugeot HDI 16v turbo diesel which is said to be very economic. Due out a couple of months later is the 407 sw ( an estate with a large sunroof ) This looks unlike any other estate ive seen before and definitely takes a step forward from the rest.

Ive also attatched a photo of what is supposedly a special edition of the Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti, i cant say im a big fan of the things but this car was designed to be whats now the Impreza WR1, released in celebration of the world rally championship victory of Petter Solbherg, as they did the same when colin mcrae won the championship. It has 3 doors like the old rally car, but no progress on the matter shows that Subaru arent interested in bringing back the old look. In the end they just made a few changes to the Sti, called it that WR1 and released that in celebration instead. No complaints though.

That 3dr Sti looks like a chop, there is no clearence between the rear wheel and the arch.

Agreed, the STi isn't real, but a nice little chop. A 3dr. Impreza would be nice though... :D
