I saw some other pictures when it was launched and I have to say that proportion wise it isn't that bad.
The detailing needs a lot of improvement though.

It looks like any car from any futuristic cartoon usually featuring some robotised batman..
not bad, though i hate those mirrors.
But let's see how well it can stand up to a crash test.

china's newer car designs are fine overall (the original ones at least and the ones that don't rely ones 20 year old VWs) but they're like 50s america with their chrome

As for now i only hoped that they would invest more on manufacturing quality, down to the details as what Japan did during the 1960s.
I welcome all these design studies, but that's the last thing they can put focus on, moreover hiring a european prominent designer can immediately 'save' them 20 years of hard work (e.g KIA), it's the technology that's behind that matters.
For a nation that's capable of sending people to space, capable of the three gorges dam, I believe they should be able to put more focus into technology.
Oh, and I welcome the usual 'plagiarism' of technologies applied to cars, as oppose to design only.
oh ya, and the naming of cars or brands. GEELY sounds very similar to 'GELI' in countries like Malaysia or Singapore, which means roughly 'gross'

Hehe, no I meant that as rephrasing the person asking what was wrong with the car. What is wrong with it is that it looks like a sea cow with its giant bulbous nose.
