Simple, which era of Ferrari do you prefer?

EDIT: This is meant to be visually only, I really shoulda mentioned that.

Should have included all decades.

As much as it kills my point from the coachbuilding thread, i do like 90's Ferrari's better.

Should have included all decades.

That can be done later, this is specifically to determine if people think Ferraris are increasing in beauty at present.

I don't think it kills your point at all.

It''s just you prefer that era.

i personally like the way its going. i dont think ferrari has lost their originality. you can still be excited for the next concept and not be disappointed by the usual supercar

I'm going to go out there and suggest the 360 counts as a modern one, and I prefer the 288, Testarossa (512TR specifically), F40, 355, 456, group that's not up there.

I personally have been turned away from recent Ferrari styling. The 355 was an absolute masterpiece of artwork as were the F50, 550, and 575. The new ones seems to be a bit out of proportion (ie. The F430 rear end) or a bit bug eyed IMHO. The attractiveness has steadily decreased and I would definitely not buy a new Ferrari if I had the funds. I would be picking up an LP640 over any of the recent Ferrari's.

This is hard for me. Ferrari's are kind of the first cars I fell in love with, specifically the 550 and the 355. At first I didn't really like the 360 it took me a while to get into it. I used to like the 456 but now it seems a tad outdated. I like some of the recent stuff, it is still very Ferrari. I'll go with the Modern.

I think the 456/550/575/superamerica are pretty boring, the 355, 360, 430, and 599 are the standout ferrari's for me.

The F355 is for me the second best looking Dino ever. And the 456 is the most elegant Ferrari for a long time. So I guess it's the 90's for me.

The 355 is still one of th most beautifull cars ever imo, i love the 355/550/575/456 era so... :)

definately modern. much better executed, more functional form, more exciting imo. out of direct competitors, imo only 456 is better looking than 612.

imo today's ferrari design is second to glamourous style of end of 50's/beginning of 60's

The modern era takes it for me because I really do not like the 456 or the F50, but to me all the cars from the modern option are all good cars.

I personally love the 288 GTO. It tops my list of Ferraris. For the two chosen eras, I prefer the early 90s to 2000s. The 575M is my favourite recent Ferrari.

It's a tough call, but I will say this: the 355 Spyder is SO much better looking than either the 360 or 430 Spyders.

Design wise, the 90's definitely. I absolutely love the 550 Maranello and F50.

Late 90's Early 2000's. I love 360's and 355's. I also like the F50 and the 575 as far as V12 cars go.

I'd have to go with the 90's just because of the f40 and 288 GTO

Those were both 80s cars.

308/328 - Very nice.
412 - Not bad, but certainly dated.
288 GTO - Perhaps the best looking mid engine Ferrari of all time.
F40 - I should find that wing and all the vents offensive, but I don't. Not by a long shot.
Testarossa- Yeah, well you can't win'em all.

90's for me

In the 50's and 60's I've got all I need. The early days are fine, but in my opinion Ferrari reaches the peak afterwards and in the 70's everything starts to go wrong.

Given the ultimate choice i'd probably take a 60's Ferrari, but between the ones here probably 90's. The 550/360 era are my favourite contemporary Ferrari designs. The new ones since Enzo have been a bit much for me.

is a relative comparison, and I gotta agree with you, but

if we compare Ferraris of 50's and 60's with Ferraris from 70's and 80's, the modern Ferraris lose, the same if we compare the cars from 70's and 80's with the 90's and 00's, obviously the older cars are better

I disagree when comparing the 80's to the 90's.

I personally think the 355, 456 and 550 are better than the 328, 412 and Testarossa.

While I've enjoyed a 348 GTS and a 355 Spider numerous times during my membership, it's the new V8 California that I really lust to drive. It would seem to be the best of both worlds for a Ferrari lover. Modern design, gobs of power but everyday derving practicality. So what's it going to be be? the coupe or the spider? While I might prefer the coupe overall, should the club accquire one, my bet it would be the Spider.

is difficult to say which is better, but i have to say that each in each era they made great cars, and the more recent they are, the better they are except when it comes to looks and in some cases the older cars were more intresting to drive.

I'm sure that driving a manual ferrari is more of an rewarding experience, than the paddle shift.

90s for me, I've never liked any modern Ferraris, not because i'm an old dick, but they really do look uncomfortable - e.g a girl with very heavy makeup and adds unnecessary accessories for a dinner....

The existence of the F355 and the 288 GTO completely debunk your theory.

But then again, both those cars are V8s. Hmmm . . .

Exactly. And the are nice Dinos but somewhat not as beautiful as the 246 GT. Which rather proves my point. :)
