so it was a quiet, relaxed, sunday morning so we decided to have a quiet, relaxing drive..ahem.
so we set out, to find others had the same idea and met us at the racing room.
the coxster couldn't come out and play, being all cocooned and all.

Organised by a pair of Porsche club members - neither particularly involved with the trackdays - some of these drivers came dressed up and not entirely what i was expecting...very different subset of drivers from within the club. some obviously not comfortable with their cars, but that didn't matter too much with the driving being done on public roads.

a friend rocked up in his STi, at that point we all headed off, creating an awesome traffic jam/convoy.
i slotted into the convoy behind the sti, which would now take up my front view for the next hour.
note how my morning photo's are consistently shit! this doesn't really change, i assure you.

heading out, north again. i finally gave up trying to take pics while driving so grabbed a passenger to do a few.
Dad finished his coffee and caught up, but we were stuck behind captain slow (some middle aged woman) in a blue carrera.
really easy to distinguish who goes to trackdays and who uses their porsche for breezy cruising...
also a few bike clubs going around.

Seems good fun ! I love this kind of meetings, they are always a lot of fun :) Just about to have one too with 5-600 vehicles. Curious to see how that goes..

he takes it out to trackdays..what i don't understand is that the actual garage is so clean? i mean that thing makes sense in my garage, but how paranoid is he to use in that clean garage?

for actual driving meets i prefer smaller groups, easier to manage and you don'thave to find massive amounts of parking spaces at each way point.

Yea it depends a bit. With so many cars it's very easy to more or less block the road and the traffic lights and stuff. 9/10 times with suce large groups you just drive from A-B without many waypoints and stuff. The police sometimes even escorts you, when it has been well organised and stuff.

yeah, we had traffic police to handle each intersection for the charity cruise in Sydney (1200 cars - still waiting on pics whiteballz..) but it all backs up and isn't as free flowing as a smaller group is, especially when you get to the good stuff, or just finding a parking spot...
