Of the Spyker models, the C8 Double 12 is my favorite model. This blue one is spotted in China and has a purple interior
Still I like the car. It's cool. Don't tell me, I already know I'm one of very few who do :D

there are about 12 different C8 Double 12's around, so they are quite rare.

If you have any pics yourself of the Double 12, other then the official press pics, I'd love to see 'm ;)

I like this car, obviously not in this color, but you should have post the pictures here (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/matt-s-hi-res-hide-out/18511-spyker-c8-spyder-double-12-a.html) since they are hi-res, or even here (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/multimedia/10926-spyker-c8-spyder-double-12-a.html).
"search" button ftw.
but thanks for sharing! :)

I agree with you in that i have always liked Spykers. I think they are really good looking cars and it's a shame they never experienced greater commercial success.

It\s still a young company and things can still take a big flight :)

Have reposted into related/more designated areas. :-)

I think that when compared, Spyker has a somewhat limited commercial success. However, over 200 cars have now been build, so I think there is a very clear success in itself. In the market since 2007. all financial trouble aside (really blown up because of how online media works, ie copy-paste, and also because of the typical Dutch 'spruitjes' mentaliteit, to quote Mr. Muller), I have been and am still amazed about the track record of Spyker and the marketing abilities of Spyker (or better: of Victor Muller).

Having your cars displayed on the concept lawn of Pebble Beach, several years in a row, among the likes of Chrysler, Rolls-Royce, Pininfarina.
Taking factory demonstrators to the Monaco F1 Grand Prix and get to show them off, on track, to future clientele, in between qualifying rounds.
Getting Zagato to style your car. Pininfarina has his name on the Hyundai Matrix, but Zagato!!!
Developing different models, to keep Spyker in the news, in the lights, in the interest of the public.
Setting up a GT racing team.
Participating in Le Mans.
Having an F1-team for 1 season......... :D Okay, this I'm not too impressed with. The only benefit I saw was to market the brand. There was no (none that I know of) connection with the road models, in the sense that parts were being tested or design features being applied.

Just my $0.02.

An impressive brand, all-in-all, if you ask me. All done within 7 years. Especially when I compare it with other cars/brands. Especially the cars made late eigthies, early nineties, that never resulted into more than 1-5-10 chassis.

So, like Sebas, I hope that the big flight is still to come for Spyker. Although I'm rather satisfied with the market penetration as it is right now.

lol

I agree with you Spyker had done a lot in a little time, and I really like their cars, though I hate that paris-to-peking SUV thing.

Not only that but also having two cars in the Pebble Beach Tour on the Thursday before the event, one of those cars driven by Victor himself....

Henk4, was that this year? Did they drive the Aileron and the Peking-to-Paris?

Are there any Tour photos here in UCP?

Both of those are still under development. The Aileron production car will look a little different from the Geneva show car and might be launched as early as November in LA.

Here are our shots from the Tour and Pebble: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/event/164/2008-Pebble-Beach-Concours-d-Elegance.html
