Ssangyong Rexton (its a korean car with mercedes engine):
3.2L V6 - 214BHP

Toyota Land Cruiser:
4.7L V8 - DOHC 32 valve - 235BHP

You should've added the Nissan Patrol in there... Outta the choices you've given... and if all of those were stock... I'd go for the Pajero. The pic you have posted of the Pajero looks really cool... is it a real ralliart?

People should start calling a Land Cruiser Prado... 'A Land Cruiser Prado' because there is a completely different Toyota Land Cruiser as well... which I consider is better than the Prado:

Id take the Pathfinder because its tough looks, and because of the world renound 3.5L engine.

THE SSANGYONG SUCKS! ITS UGLY!! AND IT BAD QUALITY!

I'd take the Toyota Land Cruiser, With Pajero a close second. If the Patrol was in there it would probably win over the Land Cruiser.

That would be just as confusing, because in the UK the Land Cruiser that lfb666 posted a pic of is just the Land Cruiser, whilst the model that you posted pics of is called the Land Cruiser Amazon.

I'd take the land cruiser because I'm tired of checking my mirrors to change lanes. With that car, you just go, nothings going to stop you.

Seriously, I think i'd take the pajero.it looks cool.

I'd take the Pajero, mainly as that one's a Ralliart model. Looks cool.

An Uruguayan friend of mine told me that pajero means wanker in Spanish. Just an interesting bit of background information there :)

The Landcruiser you posted is called a Prado in Australia and is not a V8. You cant even put the Ssang Yong in with these. Its a joke. The Pajero is probably the mos capable off road but I doubt you are worried about that. Give me a real Landcruiser 100 or a GU Patrol. None of these rate.

Or How about the Mitsubishi Challenger/Shogun Sport. That ones supposed to be teh no frills alternative to the Pajero.

well my dads got one and despite him treating it like a sports car, you should hear him complain after he replaced the original diesel fitted with a safari turbo for a diesel out of a 100 series.

I own a 98 Pathfinder so I can't say my opinion is an unbiased one. But I've taken that thing over 115 and even beaten some V6 Accords in it. I also took it offroading in the snow in a construction site once with a couple of jeeps. Unfortunately every single one of us got stuck (me in what ended up being a creek) but once the jeeps got out they were able to tow me out. And the only thing wrong with it afterwards was a faulty gas pressure valve. That thing can feel flimsy at times, but its built tough.

I do not think that Rexton can beat the other leading brand, but on the desert, it will not left behind.

On September 23, 2005, we will have a king vehicle challenge. Just visit http://www.dubai4x4.com for more information. All types of 4x4 cars will compete in to four categories. Unfortunately, Rexton will not be the one who will compete because I am one of the judges.

here in Canada the Land cruiser is the Lexus Lx, the Land cruiser prado is the lexus GX, the the Pajero is the Endeavor and the Challenger sport is the endeavor sport

I have both cars. Land Cruiser 2007 is more durable and resistent than Pajero 2007.
Driving a Pajero give me more pleasure. Pajero is more comfortable and has more extras. In terms of technology, sound system, etc, Pajero 2007 is some steps ahead from Land Cruiser. It depends what you want from them.

^ Your statement regarding on the L/C is correct, however the Pajero and the Endeavor are not related by one bit. The Endeavor is based on a mid-size platform aka. as the Galant sedan, the Challenger is based on a past-gen Pajero platform. While the new Challlenger is based on the L200/Triton/Strada compact pickup (not avail. in N.America) platform.

NEW Challenger/Pajero Sport
http://www.autospectator.com/cars/files/images/Mitsubishi-PAJERO-SPORT-1.jpg

Land Cruiser 100 & 200 = Lexus LX470 (100) & LX570 (200)
Land Cruiser 120 'Prado' = Lexus GX470
Endeavor = modified Galant platform
Old Challenger/Montero(Pajero) Sport = based on 2nd gen Pajero platform
New Challenger/Pajero Sport = based on L200/Triton/Strada platform

Suggestion-> First of all, the Land Cruiser should be specified by either L/C 120 or Prado or [Lexus] GX470 (for us yanks). :)

-> I am tied between the Prado and the Pajero, both of these 4x4's can embarass most US-made SUV's. But in the end, I'd pick the Pajero, given by its current model being out for almost a decade. Experience counts y'know. :)

http://www.caradvice.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/2007mitsubishipajero3door.jpg

-> I driven both Montero Sport (Challenger) and the Montero (Pajero), the MS is an SUV for the 3rd world compared to the Montero. The seats in the Montero (Pajero) are excellent for a 10 hour trip to San Jose from Vegas! :)

The Land Cruiser is the best among all of them. A big car but supported by a big engine and goes easssy when it comes to off-roading. Also it is one big good heavy duty car

Land Cruiser HDJ100 FTW!!!

^ I agree, the 100 was one of the best of all time. It was the best of both worlds; not to trucky (LC80) and not too techy (LC200). Infact to be specific, I like the VX-R/GX-R the best:

^ These pics are very hard to come by on the web. But I love they way these L/C's were built up; it featured Lexus' height adjustable suspension, dual fuel tanks, dual spare tires, an integrated electronic winch (within the front bumper, all bussiness. If I have one here in the US, I'll convert it like these.

-> But if I like to mod it like crazy I'd take the 105/110:

It's big, it's bad, and it's tough... Very very tough...
