it was rumoured that Ferrari will update the Modena using the 4,2 litre V8 found in the Mazza Coupe . off course . higher spec . should deliver around 450 BHP and more torque compared to the 360

Man, thats one dirty car. But aside from that it appears to be the same on the outside as the 360. Hmm,I guess we'll have to wait and see...

I can't see much difference on the conecpt test car pictures there. But it looks like it's a little longer than the 360.
My guess is that they are simply testing the chassis and running gear in an old 360 body, they are probably keeping the proper body under lock and key.

I found this info in another forum:
www.chinacars.com wrote:
Ferrari is road testing a heavily reworked version of the 360 Modena, dubbed the 430 Modena.
Likely to appear for the first time at next year's Geneva motor show, the two-seater will forego the 3.6-liter V8 used in the existing car for an engine derived from the 4.2-liter V8 used in the Maserati Coupe/Spyder and Quattroporte.
AutoWeek sources say the new powerplant's capacity of about 4.3 liters will produce 480 hp, up from the 360's 400 hp, and much closer to the 500-hp 5.0-liter V10 in competitor Lamborghini's Gallardo. Changes to the Maserati engine include a flat crank, lighter internals and a revised air inlet manifold, all aimed at allowing it to rev close to 9000 rpm.

the blue one is the aurea prototype
What's that? Never heard of it...
Anyway, I don't think the new Modena will look like it, looks way to extreme. I'm guessing a slightly longer and more muscular version of the 360.
The Aurea isnt even Ferrari design is it?

I found some new spy pics and some drawings of the new Modena:

The back does have some Enzo influences I think...don't know if that's a good thing... But all in all I think I like it.

Woow, those designs look great with the Enzo-back and a slightly remodeled front. I don't think the Modena is getting old, it still looks so modern&fresh, like most Ferrari's are built to overcome age, but if they would change it into this, it would be a big improvement, I think, although I liked the "old" front of the Modena...

It's called a "test mule". that's why it's dirty. and it's probably been spun out a few times due to gearbox/suspension/driver glitches.
