Hear me out on this:

Porsche recognised a market, and made a vehicle that was competitive for such a market.

It also helps keep them in profit, so that they can commit atrocities to the motoring community in the form of a Panamera.

There was also a mild dash of sarcasm, but by all accounts, it's a good vehicle.

For a two tonne Porsche Diesel Wagon.

You've given me an idea.

Maybe we should do a worse car of the year a award.

Okay, but it's gonna be one thread only, and all cars are eligible - NO RULES

You should, but the Panamera may walk away with it judging by the thread responses.

Don't take that for granted. There are plenty of good candidates.

Like the previously mentioned Cayenne Diesel and all SUVs introduced in 2008, several Ladas, all of Peugeot's lineup and the list goes on...

BMW 135i Coupe.

Win! I was at first going to say the 135i coupé but I ultimately chose the generic 3-series because of its higher importance in the current sales and market.
The 135i coupé is way cooler though.
