I liked this car since its unveiling, and wondered every time why it didn't received much attention.
The look is very interesting, especially the rear part, it really gives you the idea of the air flowing on it's surfaces, and the open back shows you how much space you can save with this kind of technology.
the engines used, integrated with the suspensions, should have attract much more attention than what it received. Electric motors inside of the wheels are no news, but the fact that they control the suspensions too it is.
Venturi showed a lot of interesting concepts since its rebirth, both considering it's a small factory, and the fact that it's also showing us how simply it could be to solve a lot of problems connected to cars and traffic.
The Eclectic model is now available for a relatively low price (15.000 € iirc), and it's almost everything the average European driver need as a daily commuter.
The max speed is low, 60km/h, but the average speed in Italy cities is about 25 km/h, so it's fair enough. the battery life per each charge is capable of assuring my mother her need to go to work, go to the groceries store and the other things she does on a common day.
Obviously it can't be considered as a proper car, but usually we use the car for much less than what it should be used, perhaps even deteriorating it before of the time.

and for as regards switching to electric cars for daily commuting, someone is surely going to say we would pollute even more because of the higher demands of electric power. sure we would need more, but modern plants for producing electric energy have an efficiency up to 60%, while cars are still struggling to reach a 30% efficiency.

we would, probably, need to built more plants, that's sure.
but considering a lot of plants need to be slowed down during the night because of the lack of demand (that's why they say to use washing machines and dish washers during the night, so to keep the plants working at the more efficient regime), charging the cars during the night (something very likely going to happen) would help too.

Right now, the more recent plants use basically KERS systems (of both the type we are going to see in F1), so they can keep working as during the day, and storing the additional energy not requested.

kinda off topic, but Venturi is doing all of these considerations and much more, but it seems that people don't really care.
