Am I on drugs, or is that an AMG lump in the back? It looks very much like something they would turn out. Supercharger design, and engine cover business looks like MB to me. Plus its about 5.5 Liters, so, you know...
But I could be wrong.

On that note though, is it just me or does the yellow one resemble a Ferrari(Maranello predominantly) in the front?

yes.. it is indeed a mercedes V8.... and i belive the Laraki is also available with a modified version of the 6 litre Biturbo V12 from SL65, S65 and CL65 AMG
