I have heard both names used. Are they simply the same car, or two seperate cars? Just a quick reply needed.

Two separate cars. Only three F50 GTs were built.

Correct. Some people refer to the F50 GT (incorrectly) as the F50 GT1.

because F50 GT was made according to GT1 class

and it never raced (even if one crashed during testing)

The F50 GT and the GT1 are the same car. If you check the chassis number plate, it states F50 GT. Some indeed call it (incorrectly) F50 GT1 (as is the case of the enthusiast's magazine Forza) because it was developed under the GT1 regulations. Some say it was aborted because they feared the McLaren F1 GTR and Porsche 911 GT1 competition, others that it was simply discarted because of the regulations change. All I know is there are only 3 chassis built. Gorgeous and insanelly fast car!
