On this site we often focus on only one medium, the visual. Because the computing machines that we all use are audio and visual capable I though it would be a good idea to make a sound thread. Sounds are pretty hard to describe, so this might help with that too. Any car sounds are accepted (stick to engine/exhaust notes unless the car makes some other very special sound), and planes and watercraft would also be accepted but because this is a car forum, mostly cars, please.

I'll start it off;
I have a pack of sounds that I downloaded from a website ages ago, so I have no recollection of what the cars are other that the measly information provided in their filenames. Hopefully they will give you enough infromation, but I doubt it.

Wouter, could you please allow the attaching of .mp3 files (if you are the one who controls that). Most recording equipment and such would probably make .mp3s instead of movie files. Thanks.

could be a good idea, even if images are way easier to collect/watch at/find

new TT RS
I must admit I didn't even listen to it yet

EDIT: I just realized it's an mp3...

If you're on a Mac you can just change the file extension from .mp3 to .mpg ( because .mp3s are the audio component of .mpgs). If you're on a PC there are programs out there that will convert it, I think.

Wow, great idea! Can I make a request? NSX or a Type R if possible, and a Civic Type R of any vintages.

Just a matter of time until I upload some sweet fartcan exhaust clips and label them as V12's.

I think even changing the extension from .mpg to .mp3 work (the reverse did).

The idea is very good, brilliant thread.
So good in fact it may not be a bad to actually have a clip in archives next to the specs and photos !!

Some more sound clips. Unfortunately they seemed to have been recorded on a pretty low quality device, but some of them are still good.

Both nabbed from an NSX forum.
Not strictly sound files, but you don't see much in the way of visual action.

The attached car definitely isn't stock.
