The first postwar passenger car was the Datsun Standard Sedan (DA), which in March 1948 was followed by the Deluxe Sedan (DB), distinguished by its American-style streamlined body. The chassis was the same as the DA and at first it had the same 722cc engine. DB-2 (September 1950) had a 860cc, 20ps engine, and with DB-5 (February 1953) output was increased to 24ps.

This design is strongly reminiscent of a Crosley, though at 1,950lb with a measly horse-or-so more than the CoBra engine, this thing must have been a real dog. I think Crosleys usually tipped the scales south of 1,200lb (540 communist).

That could all be fixed with the simple addition of RB26DETT.

But then you'd probably have to drive from the back seat.
