There is something I just love about seeing SRT-4 owners getting put in their place

I'm amazed that a built 383 in a lightweight body could hardly get away from a kid in a 4 banger fwd.

Owned? lol....

Yeah that wasn't really all that owned. The B had a lot more money put into it too?

no, because you are too young to hate Neons.
I take a while to learn such art.

That may be why. :D

During one of the races, I think they should have had shot of the Belvedere's speedometer. Maybe I'll suggest that in the comments section.

Who cares though. I'd prefer the Belvedere even if it had lost.

Yeah, I think there are quite a few other Mopars which are more collectable than a Neon.

The rolling start takes away a lot of the Belvedere's RWD advantage. From a standing start, it would have been a lot uglier. And I wouldn't undersetimate the power output of that SRT Neon; 450hp is not out reach for a streetable, albiet heavily modified, Neon.

I'm not a fan of the SRT Neon but it's a very quick, very cheap car with a huge performance aftermarket that has brought a lot of young people into the car culture, and I respect it for that.

one could argue it's brought a lot of the wrong people into the car culture.. :p

the kids nowadays are doing the best they can with the crap that Detroit and the other major automakers are producing. In my opinion, a kid who can get his FWD economy car to run 13 second quarters has at least as much ingenuity as someone doing the same with a bigblock and RWD.
