The most important historic race event in my country (Belgium) held at our most famous circuit : Francorchamps

Race 2 : Historic F1 (http://www.ferrari-world.be/Events%202009/Spa%206%20Hours%202009/Race%202/Spa%206%20Hours%202009%20race%202.htm)

I agree with you that it is an important race, therefore I am bit disappointed that you link to a site that just produces shots without any explanation what car we are looking at. :o

I agree, details would be nice... no photo ID from the site, just a Flash gallery?
Will give it a shot, but not certain of some of them...:o

Race 2, F1: Arrows (?), Lotus 81, March (?), Brabham BT81, Matra Ford

Race 3 WSM: Cooper King Cobra (?), Chevron B19 or 21, Lola T70, Alfa Romeo 33-3(?), Porsche 935

some corrections: The "March" is actually a Brabham B42, while the "Brabham" is the Williams FW07D#16.
The Sports car: Cooper T61#CM-4-63, the Chevron I am curious to know which one it is (or pretends to be), the Lola T70 could well a replica, and perhaps also the 934/5
The Chevron is a B23, and the Porsche a 911RSR.

Your analysis is correct, apart from that the Revival Meeting, where many of the same cars were racing, was held the weekend before.

talking about D-Types, 207RW, that you show, is a replica, (with FIA papers though) and if you have seen a yellow one, that was made 15 years ago....

I don't think to much about the fact there are so many replica's around :o as long if they are good replica's its not that big a problem for me ! Lola T70, Chevron B8/B16 , GT 40 , Cobra , E type Lightweight ...
So is the case for many of these Listers
BRDC Historic Sportscars (http://www.ferrari-world.be/Events%202009/Spa%206%20Hours%202009/Race%2010/Spa%206%20Hours%202009%20race%2010.htm)

Yes, I earlier mentioned the 13 T70s.
5 are real, 2 cars claim the same (real) identity
6 are "real" replicas...
I haven't checked the B16s. Some say that out of the 23 made, only 5 or 6 now existing, can be traced back to their original identity.

When reading the reports for instance on 10-10, I can't help thinking that the six hours is increasingly an English club race on foreign territory, where srutineering and admission are governed by British rules.

Big bussiness those continuation cars ! Historic racing has become so big there is a huge demand for classic racingcars and there are only so many original cars to go around.
And yes the 6 Hours is like an all English event :D Last year in Le Mans (classic) i had the same impression
