It's a Red Flag I think, and that is probably China's most famous automotive company, used by the President (?)

They made a one-off limosine many years back, and someone traded 12 Mercedes S classes for it. This is a proper Chinese car, not those stupid copy-cats.

Damn! Twelve!? This car must really defy all that we think chinese cars are all about.

They still couldn't resist taking the C-pillars off a Phantom.

As opposed to the large ones from Cadillac and Chrysler???

Seems to me that wide pillar is part and parcel of larger sedans

That and the front end of a Mini.

I saw more Arnage in the C pillar, but either way I agree and a wide C pillar seems to be a standard inclusion for ultimate luxury cars at the moment, and those trying to be.

Well, imo, it's a lot better than the actual copies they made, like that smart or x5 and all those ones. This one is quite original really, and has kept the company's style, which has established some 50 years before Rolls Royce did their Phantom.

The only Red Flag (Hong Qi) that copies others is their HQ3, which copies the Toyota Crown Majesta.

well, the rear end of the HQD (or HQE...Google doesn't help) was quite resembling the Bentley Arnage, I don't think there is something bad admitting/saying they are copying bits and bites from other established icons and automakers, just think about Lexus, they moved to their own style (sort of) only with the last gen of products, even if they are on the market since 20 years now, or 72 if you consider parent company Toyota.
Even old and renowned automakers happen to get their "inspiration" from other companies' models.

The unique V12 has more or less the same front as the Series 3 GAZ21 Volga.
