Again an interesting case of what the impacts are of minute changes in light circumstances. I was at the assembly grid of the 1000 km race at the Ring, soon around midday with full. I saw the Signature Plus Courage coming with lights ablaze and I shot it with full zoom, and the result was quite normal, with shutter priority as usual resulting in an F10 aperture. As in one of the previous competitions I have added it here for illustration.
The next shot, the actual entry for the competition, was a fraction of a second later, and the lights were obviously aiming directly at the lens, resulting in aperture change to F30. I cropped it a little just to get the car centered and remove some people on the right. No further editing. It could be considered as underexposed but I like the result effect, also on the cars behind.

What lens are you using Henk? I haven't had this happen to me yet with my 24-105 f/4L yet.
