Does anyone have a kick ass system in their car that is not stock, like 1000 watt amps and 15 inch subs, stuff like dat.. I'm gonna have a kick ass system when i get my first car and i was wandering if anyone had any tips or comments about certain set ups?

I did that in my first car - a 1.1 escort. The system cost more than the car. Yes people laughed, and Yes it was worth it.

Try not to piss every-one off in your neighbourhood though.

(6*9's suck by the way. don't let any-one convince you otherwise. Spend as much as you can afford on the head unit as it's the one item you don't want to keep upgrading. If you can't afford a 10 inch AND a 15 inch sub with associate amp, buy a 12" enclosed box, apart from that buy nice speakers)

Yeah i dont care if i piss everyone off in my neighborhood they'll survive lol Yeah i want to have a really nice system, my cousin (it doesnt sound like much) but he has 2 12" subs in his Camaro Z-28 powered by a 750 watt amp, and the rest is stock speakers with a new pioneer cd player. The car is set up jus right for directing alll the sound of the subs to the front of the car, it is really loud in therre, I'm hopin to get maybe something a lil different from a escort lol maybe like a extended cab dakota, or if im lucky and SUV, but for now i'll worry bout the system.. Thanks for the advice.

Rear sub was running 1200 watts at 2 0hms 600 at 4. Not bad considering the 12 inch kenwood was rated 750 max. (On a sidenote I blew that poor thing right up!)

Don't piss off your neighbourhood for 2 Reasons;

1 - Some-one will kindly remove all your equipment from your van at ooh, lets say 3:30 in the morning (no matter what alarm you have!)
2 - Police will try and book you, keep your local police happy and they won't come and hassle you every chance they get.

Oh and go buy yourself a sub testing CD (I forget what they are called), then see how low your sub goes.

I see what yer saying bout keepin everyone happy, but if i want a system imma have one, and if anyone gets near it i will personally shoot them lol I think if my alarm system on my car envolved mounted guns no one would touch it ha The cops might not go for that, all the cops up herre are real dicks, pull you ova for anything and everything, like they pulled my cousin over in his camaro right, and said he didnt have the reflective peice above his license plate?!? and then when he reached ova to get his registration and all dat outta his glove box, he couldnt reach so he took his seatbelt off, and the cop is like why do you have yer seatbelt off? Then he started complainin about his exhaust, and its to loud, goes on and on and on, jus cause his car looks fast. lol Well thanks again for all da input, anyone else wanna comment bout anything.....
