This is an annual event in St. Petersburg Florida, specifically for Type 2 split window buses only. This year we had 151 buses of every taste imaginable, though scruffy seems most popular. :) The Peoples Choice Awards :):

A few buses were immaculately restored, inspiration to finish my interior.

Nice, not many people know that the bus/transporter was originally an idea from Dutch VW importer Pon located in Amersfoort. He convinced the VW management to take up the idea and the rest is.....

Pon Jr. went on to become a well known racing driver in Porsches, starting the Racing Team Holland who's orange 904 became a force to reckon with, in particular when driven by a very young Gijs van Lennep.

Ben Pon now owns the Bernardus vinery in the Carmel Valley, close to Laguna Seca, and he is can be seen each year at the Monterey Historics, while his wine is generously served at the McCall Jet Center Party.

Indeed, got to meet him through Roger Werner in '95 at the Historics, when Roger was telling us all to get satellite for his new motorsports network! I missed getting reservations for dinner this past year... it's a wonderful restaurant.
