its the technology and the gagets and gizmos - thety are all updates and its a more high tech car compared to the "normal" SL

I think you'll find they are called starfish alloys, as seen on the Vision SLR (There were two types the blades and these).

No much on engine compartment...It is more like a tune up in the interior,wheels,extra options such as: Control and display system COMAND, parking aid PARKTRONIC, multicontour backrests, CD changer, sound system and electrically folding exterior mirrors.
It was unveiled recalling the legendary Italian car race, the Mille Miglia which Merc has acheived a number of victories with cars like the 300SL,SLR...(1950s)

Just another marketing trick from MB, change 5 things, give it another name and here's another version!

I really like the car (don't get me wrong about those fantastic rims!) but all this stupid different versions of the same models...
