The Canadian Formula 1200 series will be back in action in three weekend time at Mosport. The Canada Day Grand Prix of Ontario will host a new schedule for the weekend. Instead of having the race weekend over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Grand Prix will only be held on Friday and Saturday.

Not only is the Canadian Formula 1200 series affected with the change but so is the Canadian GT Challenge, Race Ontario GT Sprints, and Race Ontario Formula Libre. “I personally don’t like the one day event. Some of us drivers are coming in from a good three or four hours away. We want a good fun weekend not a day” commented Kyle Kosir from Vallis Motorsport on the schedule change. The main thing the drivers and teams will have to be very careful about is the reliability and no damage through-out the day. Any Damage could make a driver go home and that could be the same with an engine. There will only be forty minutes in between racing sessions. Phil Wang from WIM Motorsport said “I think that it will really take a number on our cars and engines. Having qualifying, and three races will keep us busy, it also has the risk of not having the time to fix major damages if they happen on our cars having races so close together”

The Next race will be the Canada Day Grand Prix at Mosport, June 2nd-4th
