I read somewhere that bmw will be producing a m4 rather than a m3 due the fact that the new flagship will have a 4litre motor

1 2 6 are all the models plenned for production and the 4 series isn that ready yet maybe at 2009 - bmw is never ever stopping the m3 because of a m4 - thats the most crappy thing i have ever heard - bmw's merketing sector is very good at dealing with sales and why would the smart people there stop a very good selling model from production - even the average man can tell you that it is stupid to stop the m3 from production - and yes there is the m3 CSL so the m3 still lives long - or maybe forever

thats the revised E46 - well if it looks like that then it will still be regarded as M3 right - the m4 i think will have a totally new design

yes its official - the next m3 will be the m4 - because it will have a high reving brand new v8 sharing parts with the 550hp v10 in the e60 M5- actually an insider wanted to push the inline 6 back furthur into the car(almost mid) - to get better balance thus better handling - but the other insiders wanted to crush(clk55 amg, audi s4/rs4) competitors with a v8 - thus it wil have a v8 and will be called the m4 - its official and BMW claim we have to get use to the name change - bloody ****ers - ok not really
